POSITION OF PREFECTURE
|
The
Prefecture of Lefkada is situated north-west of Greece. It consists
of the Prigiponisia and the island of Meganisi, Kalamos and Kastos.It
is perhaps the only island in Greece which is NOT only accessed by
sea, as a floating bridge of 50 metres connects the island to the
mainland throughout the day. The advantage of visiting the Prefecture
is less traveling time due to the floating bridge.
